Did you know that every night in Belgrade is a Friday night? Everything is alive and kicking. From the fancy river clubs to the most authentic Serbian pubs. The whole city is lit up and each light has a story for itself.
The river clubs are also known as “splavs“. “Splav” in Serbian means a raft. A floating boat, standing at the riverside. Those rafts are the most attractive part of the Serbian nightlife. Loud music, crazy lights and not to mention the hot girls. Just don’t get too drunk and fall in love with them. Some of them work on a commission. Also, don’t ever mess with the bouncers.
On the other side, besides Splavs, there are the traditional Serbian pubs. Those pubs are what Serbian people call a “kafana“. Kafana usually has live music and a unique feel to it. People drink rakia and eat ćevapi. Rakia being our national alcoholic drink, and ćevapi, the best meat you could ever try.
